Privacy Policy

ClaimDraft by Empowered Solutions Ltd

Effective January 1, 1970

§ 1

Overview

ClaimDraft is a drafting assistance tool that helps restoration contractors generate supplement demand letters from insurance carrier denial letters. We take the privacy of your claim documents and personal information seriously. This policy explains exactly what we collect, how we store it, who can access it, and your rights as a user.

§ 2

What data we collect

Account Information

When you create an account we collect your name, company name, email address, license type, and state. This information is used solely to operate your account and is never sold or shared with third parties.

Uploaded Documents

When you submit a denial letter or scope document, that file is uploaded to a private, encrypted cloud storage bucket (Supabase Storage). Your uploaded documents are accessible only to you. No other user, administrator, or third party can access your uploaded files through the ClaimDraft platform.

Submission Data

We store the information you enter in the submission form — carrier name, state, claim type, disputed amount range, and your description of the dispute. This data is stored in a private database row accessible only to your account.

Generated Letters

Letters generated by ClaimDraft are stored in your private account and are accessible only to you. Generated letters are never shared with carriers, third parties, or other users.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. ClaimDraft does not store your credit card number, billing address, or payment details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data: https://stripe.com/privacy

§ 3

How uploaded documents are stored and who can access them

Your uploaded denial letters and scope documents are stored in private cloud storage provided by Supabase. Access is controlled by Row Level Security policies that enforce the following rule: only the authenticated user who uploaded a file can access that file. ClaimDraft staff cannot access your uploaded documents through the application interface. Files are stored under a path prefixed with your unique user ID, and signed download URLs expire after 10 minutes.

We recommend not uploading documents containing Social Security numbers or financial account information beyond what appears in a standard insurance denial letter.

§ 4

How the carrier intelligence layer works

ClaimDraft includes an optional carrier intelligence feature that aggregates anonymized denial pattern data across submissions to help contractors understand carrier behavior trends.

Here is exactly what this means:

What is anonymized and stored in the intelligence layer:

  • Carrier name
  • State where claim occurred
  • Claim type (water, fire, wind/hail, mold, structural)
  • Denial category (e.g. exclusion applied, scope dispute)
  • Disputed amount range (not the specific dollar amount)
  • Policy provisions cited in the generated letter
  • Outcome if you choose to report it

What is NEVER stored in the intelligence layer:

  • Your name
  • Your company name
  • The property address
  • The policyholder's name
  • Policy numbers or claim numbers
  • The content of uploaded documents
  • Any personally identifiable information

PII stripping occurs server-side before any data is written to the intelligence database. The raw content of your denial letter is never written to the intelligence layer.

Participation in the intelligence layer is disclosed at submission and requires your explicit consent via checkbox. You may opt out at any time in Settings. Opting out does not affect your ability to use ClaimDraft.

§ 5

AI processing — Anthropic API

ClaimDraft uses the Anthropic Claude API to analyze uploaded documents and generate supplement demand letters. When you submit a denial letter, its contents are transmitted to Anthropic's API for processing.

Important data handling facts about Anthropic's API:

  • Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its AI models by default
  • API inputs are not retained by Anthropic beyond the processing of your request
  • Anthropic's enterprise API operates under data processing terms designed for business use

Anthropic's full privacy policy is available at: https://www.anthropic.com/privacy

By using ClaimDraft you acknowledge that your denial letter content will be transmitted to Anthropic's API for the purpose of generating your supplement letter. If your denial letter contains information you consider highly sensitive beyond standard claim details, please review Anthropic's privacy policy before proceeding.

§ 6

Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Uploaded documents are retained in your account storage until you delete them or close your account. Generated letters are retained in your account until deleted or account closure. Anonymized intelligence layer data, once contributed, cannot be individually identified or removed as it exists only in aggregate form.

§ 7

Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

Right to Access: You can view all your submissions and generated letters in your account dashboard at any time.

Right to Delete: You can delete individual submissions and generated letters from your account. To delete your entire account and all associated data, go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. Account deletion permanently removes your profile, submissions, uploaded files, and generated letters from our systems.

Right to Opt Out: You can opt out of the carrier intelligence contribution at any time in Settings → Data Preferences.

Right to Data Export: To request a copy of your data, contact us at privacy@claimdraft.app

§ 8

Cookies and tracking

ClaimDraft uses only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or behavioral analytics tools.

§ 9

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of ClaimDraft after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
